Since 2017, Hector Rail has been transporting goods for Collicare along one of Europe's longest continuous rail corridors of approximately 2,000 kilometres. The logistics flow stretches from Italy to Norway, with Hector Rail playing a key role in the supply chain. We handle the transport in Basel and continue the journey through Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway, a unique route.
Collicare is a logistics company, founded in 2007, with operations across several European countries and a strong focus on sustainable transport solutions. To enable efficient and environmentally friendly transport over long distances, rail has become a central part of their setup, with Hector Rail as a key partner.
The collaboration with Collicare began in 2017. At the time, the company had some initial uncertainty around rail transport over such long distances, where multiple countries, regulations and operational challenges had to be managed within a single flow. They needed a partner capable of taking full responsibility for the entire corridor, ensuring reliable performance while supporting their sustainability ambitions.
Thanks to our locomotive drivers, with qualified training and certifications, Hector Rail were able to meet these demands and operate seamlessly across multiple countries. Through continuous training, we ensure the expertise required to handle international traffic with differing regulations and systems.
The result is a stable and efficient transport solution across one of the longest routes in our operations. Covering approximately 2,000 kilometres, the service places high demands on both planning and execution, demands we meet through years of experience, strong operational expertise and close collaboration with the customer.
